Why a Lab?

Why a Lab?All puppies need an outlet for their energy, and labs are no exception.

Labs reach physical maturity from 18 to 24 mths. A good owner must commit to training the pup in the basics and have enough space and the responsibility to take the dog out for daily walks and exercise.

Labs are considered very trainable in the dog world and also the most playful, they thrive on physical and mental challenges.

They can be destructive when left alone, but these behaviors are less evident in a well exercised and mentally stimulated dog.

They shed. If you live in a show home, a lab is not for you.

At the end, consider not just the purchase price of a puppy and providing both high quality food, regular vet visits. These expenses are a constant, so be prepared.
